REPORT – Chelsea In Four Team Battle For Out Of Favour Barcelona Playmaker

Chelsea are one of four teams keen on Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, according to Marca.

The Spanish newspaper believes that the Blues, Valencia, Napoli and AC Milan are monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation at the Camp Nou.

Barca manager Ernesto Valverde hasn’t picked Suarez in a number of matchday squads this season. The midfielder’s only appearance came in the Spanish Cup back in October where he captained the side against minnows Cultural Leonesa.

It is believed that the Spaniard is happy at Barcelona, but he knows he may need to leave for more game time, taking note of his former teammate Paco Alcacer’s success at Borussia Dortmund.

Marca believe Suarez is a genuine target for Chelsea as manager Maurizio Sarri tried to sign him when he was at Napoli, and is still keen on the player. The midfielder could look to leave Spain in January if he continues to be overlooked by his manager at Barca.
