REPORT: Chelsea Have Offered £137,000 A Week, Five Year Deal To Serie A Star

Chelsea have tabled an €8million a year contract offer to AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to Sport Mediaset.

The figure, which doesn’t include bonuses, works out at around £137,000 a week and would keep the 21-year-old at Stamford Bridge until 2025.

Donnarumma will have just one year remaining on his current deal at the San Siro in the summer and the Rossoneri will be very tempted to sell up, with negotiations over a contract extension proving difficult.

A transfer fee of €60m (£53.6m) has been suggested in some reports, but that is an extremely high amount considering the keeper will be able to leave on a free transfer at the end of next season.

The Italian’s agent Mino Raiola could well be using the Blues’ interest to negotiate a better contract for Donnarumma at Milan, and Chelsea will likely be wary about paying over the odds as they seek a replacement for Kepa.
