REPORT: Chelsea Eye Move For £140m Rated Winger As They Prepare For Life Without Hazard

Chelsea are considering Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne as a potential replacement for Eden Hazard, according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian international worked with Blues boss Maurizio Sarri at the Partenopei for three years, but the Italian club would be reluctant to let him leave.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly values Insigne at £140m, with the midfielder a key member of the first team squad.

The 27-year-old has made 27 appearances in all competitions this campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists.

Whether he’d be of sufficient quality to replace the special talent of Hazard, it is debatable. The Belgian has stated that he has made up his mind about his future.

He has 18 months left on his current deal and many news outlets are assuming that he has decided to leave. At the moment, however, there is no indication either way as to whether his time at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end.
