Bayern Munich will make a £45m offer for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi this week, according to the Daily Mail.
The arrival of Frank Lampard as manager at Stamford Bridge hasn’t deterred the Bundesliga champions from retaining an interest in the 18-year-old.
Hudson-Odoi has yet to sign a new contract with the Blues, with his current deal expiring in under twelve months time.
Lampard has said he will hold talks with the teenager in order to persuade the player into staying. The winger is likely to be an important player for the new Chelsea boss going forward.
However, if the London club do reject a new bid from Bayern, there still remains the danger of Hudson-Odoi agreeing a pre-contract agreement with the German side in January with the Blues receiving minimal compensation.
Fans will be hoping that Lampard won’t take long in his attempts to get the youngster to sign on the dotted line so that transfer speculation quickly dies down.
