REPORT: Barcelona Ready To Sell Chelsea And United Target For £57m

Barcelona could be ready to sell midfielder Ivan Rakitic for €65m (£57m) this summer, according to Sport.

The Catalan newspaper reports that Barca have refused the Croatian’s request of a contract extension and are considering offloading the 30-year-old.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Inter Milan have all enquired about Rakitic’s situation, knowing that he could be available at the end of the season.

Rakitic has publicly stated he wants a new deal but Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is not willing to sanction an extension.

It could mean the departure of the Croatian international who nearly left the Camp Nou last summer.

Paris Saint-Germain offered €90m (£79m) for the midfielder, only for the player and manager Ernesto Valverde to block the move.

It is believed the Barca board were seriously tempted to sell Rakitic even then, and with the arrival of Frenkie de Jong from Ajax next season, they may now push the player out of the door.
