Remy Confused About Failed Liverpool Move

Loic Remy has suggested he is still not aware of the specific reason for his move to Liverpool falling through earlier in the summer transfer window, before he secured a move to Chelsea, and has claimed to be happy with his decision to move to leave Queens Park Rangers and join up at Stamford Bridge instead, according to the Daily Mail.

Remy has proved he can handle the physical nature of the Barclays Premier League, and has been courted by several clubs in the past few seasons as he found his feet. His move to Rangers began with controversy, as he was in north east of England where he was set to sign for Newcastle after the Toon Army agreed a fee. Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is famous for convincing players about his projects and that was the case with Remy, as the player flew from Newcastle to London and finalised terms on a better contract with QPR. Ironically, Rangers were relegated from the Premier League, and Remy had a clause in his contract which allowed him to move in case the club went down. It was Newcastle that showed interest again, and this time Remy signed for Alan Pardew on a season-long loan.

Liverpool showed interest this summer, and as the move to Anfield was materialising, the Merseyside club shocked supporters with a statement that the player failed his medical, and that the move fell through.
