Manchester United have “inquired” about Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel but the German is committed to staying at Stamford Bridge, according to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The Red Devils are seemingly trying to take advantage of the Blues’ ownership situation, but Plettenberg is adamant that Tuchel will not even consider a move to Old Trafford:
Update #Tuchel: Yes, #MUFC is interested due to the uncertain future of Chelsea. They have inquired about him. But: Tuchel loves the club, he wants to stay at #CFC, his family is happy in London. He doesn’t think about a move to Manchester United actually. @SkySportNews @Sky_Marc

As a German journalist, Plettenberg is likely to have strong links to Tuchel’s camp so you would hope that his claims about the Chelsea boss are accurate.
His remarks will come as a big boost to supporters who were concerned that Tuchel may consider leaving the London club. Numerous complications have arisen since sanctions were imposed on current owner Roman Abramovich and you couldn’t have blamed Tuchel if he had begun to question his future.
However, it seems that the 48-year-old is knocking back interest from other teams. Fans will be hoping that the takeover process goes as quickly as possible to make sure that Tuchel remains in his job.
