Real Madrid Have Already Made A Proposal To Sign Chelsea Star Hazard

Real Madrid have made an approach for Chelsea attacking midfielder Eden Hazard, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The La Liga club reportedly made first contact shortly before they officially announced Zinedine Zidane’s return as manager at the Bernabeu.

With Hazard’s contract expiring in just 15 months’ time, Real know they have a good chance of landing the Belgian this summer.

The 28-year-old has never hidden his desire to work under Zidane, and it is believed the Frenchman’s appointment at Madrid could signal the departure of the Chelsea star.

The Blues are said to be holding out for £100m for Hazard despite the short time remaining on his current deal.

If the Belgian international does have his heart set on Real, and the London club can’t persuade him to sign a new contract, the sale of their talisman is looking likely.

However, Chelsea’s transfer ban may make them think twice before selling up. With no means to replace him, there is a case to be made for keeping him, even if he runs down his contract.
