Real Could Make Pogba Their Priority After Hazard Talks Collapse Over Fee

Real Madrid have ended negotiations with Chelsea over signing Eden Hazard for the time being, according to the Evening Standard.

The Spanish club’s CEO Jose Angel Sanchez had been in London to conclude the transfer for the Belgian international but he left the country after negotiations collapsed on Monday.

Real are not willing to match Chelsea’s asking price, which is believed to be above £100m. The La Liga side were hoping for a deal before Tuesday when Hazard left for international duty but it seems talks may now be long and drawn out.

Instead, the 13-time European champions are now weighing up whether to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Real Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane is said to be keen on signing both the Frenchman and Hazard this summer, and it may be the case that Sanchez switches his focus to the United star over the coming days and weeks.
