Raheem Sterling Issues His Own Transfer Deadline As Chelsea Weigh Up Bid For City Ace

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling wants his future resolved within two weeks, according to reports in the English media.

The England international is currently on holiday in Jamaica but he is keen to return for pre-season knowing where he will be playing his football next campaign.

Chelsea are known to be interested in signing Sterling, and there is an expectation that an agreement can be reached with City if they make an offer close to £45m.

With Romelu Lukaku’s move to Inter Milan now having been finalised, it could open the doors to the Blues tabling a formal bid for Sterling, but there will be other teams in the mix for the 27-year-old.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have registered their interest in Sterling previously, while Arsenal and Tottenham have been mentioned as potential destinations for the forward pretty recently.

Reports do suggest, though, that Sterling is keen on making the switch to Stamford Bridge, where he would be seen as a key first-team player.
