‘Quality Before Quantity’ ‘We Should Be Ashamed Of Ourselves’ Fans Frustrated As Chelsea Baulk At Star’s £120m Asking Price
Chelsea remain interested in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho but they accept they are behind Manchester United in the race to sign the 20-year-old, according to reports in the UK.
The main issue is the England international’s £120m asking price, which the Blues are reluctant to pay. Some supporters on Twitter are disappointed at the club’s lack of ambition:

I know that the Covid-19 crisis will have a significant impact on transfers but I feel this is the kind of statement signing that chelsea need to make. We know his talent, he's English, massive resale value if that time ever comes and significantly improves our squad. No brainer

Sancho is an extremely talented player but it must be pointed out that Chelsea already have promising wingers such as Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic in their squad.
Especially when transfer prices are expected to be lower when the window opens, such an outlay in an area where they already have decent options may not be seen as wise.
Manager Frank Lampard is said to have prioritised a striker and a left-back so that £120m may well be utilised to buy players for those two positions instead, rather than shelling out on Sancho.
