Chelsea travel to Azerbaijan knowing that a win against Qarabag will cement their place in the Champions League knockout stages.

The Blues thrashed Qarabag in the reverse fixture back in September, with Antonio Conte’s men running out 6-0 winners. But they are a side who are by no means pushovers, as the Azerbaijani champions proved during both fixtures with Atletico Madrid which they drew.

Antonio Conte is unlikely to make many changes from the side that beat West Brom last weekend, but with David Luiz returning to the Blues’ squad last weekend he could be set for a return to action – something we haven’t seen since the 3-0 loss to Roma after reports he fell out with Conte.

Victor Moses is still unavailable with a hamstring injury, while Michy Batshuayi and Charly Musonda are also sidelined.

Qarabag will have Dino Ndlovu back in their side after he served his one-game ban, but they will be without Pedro Henrique who is suspended.

Chelsea and Qarabag have met just once before during this season’s Champions League when as earlier mentioned the Blues ran out 6-0 winners. The two sides have had very differing form so far in Europe, with Chelsea winning all but one of their group stage fixtures, and Qarabag failing to win a single game. [via Sky Sports]
