Pulisic Sends Out Message To Lampard Following Lack Of Minutes For Chelsea

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic insists he feels good about his game despite having been given very little game time by manager Frank Lampard in recent weeks.

Speaking whilst on international duty with the United States, the 21-year-old was adamant that he isn’t going to let his lack of minutes affect him, and he believes he is ready to make an impact:

“I feel the best I ever have. I feel very confident in my game. I’m not going to let any of that affect me. I feel very strong, and I’m really looking forward to this game (on) Friday.”

Since arriving at the club in the summer, Pulisic has found it difficult to nail down a first-team place. The £58m signing started four of the first five games under Lampard but has only played ten minutes in the league since August.

His numbers look pretty impressive, having made four assists in his first seven appearances, although he has yet to score for Chelsea.

There is fierce competition for places in wide areas which means Pulisic will need to be patient to get his chance. The return of Callum Hudson-Odoi from an Achilles injury means Lampard has a number of wingers to choose from.
