Pulisic And Emerson To Start, Hudson Odoi And Alonso Drop Out: Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Burnley

Chelsea’s excellent win against Ajax means that manager Frank Lampard may be tempted to keep with the same eleven that started midweek but with just a three-day gap between fixtures, he may consider a few changes.

Emerson Palmieri returned to the bench on Wednesday night, and with the trip to Turf Moor likely to put pressure on the defence, the Italian could be given the nod ahead of Marcos Alonso.

After captain Cesar Azpilcueta, and centre-back partners Fikayo Tomori and Kurt Zouma, performed well in Holland, they are all expected to start again this weekend.

The same could be said in midfield. N’Golo Kante isn’t expected to be fit to face Burnley so Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are likely to play behind Mason Mount once again.

Following Christian Pulisic’s excellent cameo off the bench versus Ajax, the American could be given his chance at the expense of Callum Hudson-Odoi tomorrow, with Willian and Tammy Abraham keeping their places.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI To Face Burnley:

Kepa, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Tomori, Emerson, Kovacic, Mount, Jorginho, Willian, Abraham, Pulisic
