PSG Weigh Up Bid For Chelsea Outcast But Club May Have To Take £20m Hit

Paris Saint-Germain are considering making a bid for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer, according to Eurocalciomercato.net.

The Italian source suggests that the French club have already made tentative enquiries about the 25-year-old following Frank Lampard’s decision to bench the Spanish international in favour of Willy Caballero.

PSG are believed to be seeking competition for first-choice Keylor Navas with number two Sergio Rico having failed to impress since his loan move from Sevilla in September.

The Ligue One side had been looking at Ajax’s Andre Onana, but it appears Kepa is also another target they are considering due to his playing situation.

Eurocalciomercato state that a €60m (£52m) offer is being readied if PSG do opt to make a decisive move for the Spaniard at the end of the season. It would represent a £20m loss on the £72m record fee that Chelsea paid Athletic Bilbao for the player in 2018.
