PSG To Target Their Second Chelsea Player

It seems that David Luiz is not the only defender PSG were interested in when it comes to Chelsea players. According to the Daily Mail, Branislav Ivanovic is also on their list. The 30 year old could join his former teammate after the World Cup in Brazil when some interesting moves are set to take place.

The French side looks determined to become the most powerful team in European football. They have also been linked to Hazard, Oscar and most recently Cech. PSG might just be the only club strong enough to help Chelsea meet FIFA Financial Fair Play regulations. With the Blues planning on spending big in order to sign a new striker, it is going to be hard to balance out their budget. Selling Ivanovic might be enough though to cover their future summer expenses.

Considering Chelsea’s policy regarding players over 30, the Serbian might consider PSG’s offer. The French club is more than likely to pay Ivanovic more money and also offer him a long term contract. If he does decide to stay at Stamford Bridge, he is going to get one year extensions just like all the other players over 30.

The Serbian defender who has two years left of his contract is valued at £15million and might represent a great addition to PSG’s team. Chelsea would have a hard time finding a replacement of Ivanovic’s experience and skill. Terry and Cahill would remain the only options for Mourinho who is very unlikely to let the Serbian go given the circumstances.
