PSG Boss Speaks Out As Ligue One Giants Are Linked With Double Swoop On Chelsea

Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has refused to be drawn on speculation linking Chelsea duo Tiemoue Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger with moves to the Ligue One champions.

Reports in France have suggested that PSG are locked in talks to sign Bakayoko while they have also been linked with a loan bid for Rudiger over the past couple of days. Speaking yesterday about the French club signing the pair, Tuchel replied:

“I don’t like to comment on rumours. These players belong to other clubs and we have to respect that. There’s no point in talking about those two names. I can only say that the club knows my opinion. They know my analysis and that of my staff. I wait. The transfer window is not over. The situation is not easy, but we still have a little bit of time.”

It looks as though PSG are only prepared to loan Bakayoko and Rudiger, with an option to buy at the end of the season. Chelsea would prefer to sell both players, in order to fund moves for other signings such as West Ham’s Declan Rice, but they may not get too many other offers for the two players.

Bakayoko was linked with AC Milan earlier in the summer but that move failed to materialise, while Rudiger has been linked with a return to Roma as well as a loan switch to West Ham.
