PSG Boss Praises Mourinho For Masterstroke

Paris Saint Germain manager Laurent Blanc has hailed Jose Mourinho for his supposed tactics of playing a weaker side with a more negative approach in the FA Cup and getting knocked out of the competition which has inadvertently given the club more time to prepare for their knockout round tie against the French club, according to the Metro.

Chelsea have continued performing at the highest level as they beat Everton in midweek to maintain a healthy lead between themselves and Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League title race. The win was overshadowed by controversy regarding the actions of Branislav Ivanovic following a red card given to Gareth Barry from the opposition. The Serbian defender will not face any further action from the Football Association, and Mourinho has refused to answer questions about the issue in the media. Mourinho’s statements have been under scrutiny after receiving a charge of conduct from the FA regarding his statements suggesting a conspiracy against the club.

Mourinho had suggested a loss against Bradford in the FA Cup would be a ‘disgrace’, and that is exactly what happened. Bradford were quick to capitalise on Chelsea’s intentions to hold back their attack, and won the game to put Chelsea out of the competition. The Blues will face PSG in the knockout round of the Champions League next, and while PSG must play a game over the weekend, the London based club will have a full week of rest to prepare for the game.
