The summer of 2020 saw Chelsea hand club legend and current manager Frank Lampard massive backing in the transfer market allowing him to add to his existing options in attack with the signings of a number of talented goal scorers.

We ask fans to vote on who will be Chelsea’s top scorer this season in this highly promising campaign with the retooled squad.

The main threat on paper has to be summer signing from RP Leipzig German hitman Timo Werner. He has hit the ground running in a Chelsea shirt already bagging 8 goals in blue and he looks every bit a Premier League striker so far.

Tammy Abraham has to be a strong contender for the top scorer’s crown after his breakout season last season which was interrupted by injury. He still managed 19 goals in all competitions and could better that this campaign.

With the form of the aforementioned strikers it is hard to see World Cup winning striker Olivier Giroud getting many games. However if there are injuries you never know and for Frank Lampard to have the French international to call on from the bench it shows the depth of the squad at his disposal.

Of the other attacking players, new man Hakim Ziyech looks like he has the midas touch around goal and could be the dark horse for top scorer.

Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic plus new signing Kai Havertz have all shown they know where the goal is and Mount in particular could threaten the top scoring title as Lampard plays him so much and with the congested schedule injuries could hamper other players.
