Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was named man of the match after picking up a goal and assist against PAOK in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Manager Maurizio Sarri was, however, cautious with his praise of the 18-year-old after the game, stating the forward needs to work on the defensive aspects of his game:
“I think he played very well but the type of match was for his characteristics as they had 10 men after seven minutes. We only needed to play in the offensive phase, he’s very able to do this but I want to see him in a match when he has to play in a defensive phase.”
Fans on Twitter were not so hesitant with many calling on the Blues boss to start Hudson-Odoi against Fulham tomorrow:
Play him on Sunday

There have been reports that the teenager is being pursued by the likes of Bayern Munich and Juventus, but on Thursday’s display, Chelsea would certainly regret allowing the player to leave.
Reports in the English media also suggest that Hudson-Odoi will be allowed out on loan during the January transfer window. The wide man has only made four appearances for the first team this season, and it is thought it would be beneficial for the player to go out on a temporary basis in order to get more game time.
Going by the reaction on social media, though, Blues supporters would very much like to see the England Under 19 international staying at Stamford Bridge in order to fight for his place in the first eleven.
