Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has said Eden Hazard should recover in time for the Blues’ Carabao Cup quarter-final tie against Bournemouth on Wednesday.
The Belgian superstar limped off late on in the 2-1 win over Brighton yesterday, but when asked about the injury following the victory, Sarri played down its seriousness, stating it was only a minor issue:
“Eden is okay. It’s only a knock. I spoke with the doctor and he told me it’s not a serious problem. He maybe needs one day to rest, two days maximum. No more.”
Fans on Twitter were relieved to hear that Hazard should be back in action very soon:

Hazard was integral to Chelsea’s victory at the Amex yesterday. Playing in the ‘false nine’ role, the 27-year-old scored one and provided the assist for the opening goal with Sarri suggesting that the Belgian could play in the role more often.
The attacking midfielder had stated previously that he isn’t entirely comfortable playing in the position, but there’s no doubt that playing more centrally allows him to be involved in the Blues’ build-up play, demonstrated by his performances against both the Seagulls and Manchester City.
