According to TEAMtalk, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has termed Chelsea to be a ‘small’ yet ‘rich’ horse in the title race, after the Blues went to the Etihad Stadium and won by a goal from Branislav Ivanovic.

The title race has taken a drastic switch, as Chelsea emerged victorious at home against Newcastle United, and Manchester City drew against Norwich City at Carrow Road. Arsenal’s loss against Liverpool means that Chelsea sit at the top of the Barclays Premier League, a point ahead of the Gunners.

Pellegrini’s men fell to Chelsea at home earlier in the week, and the Chilean has spoken positively about Chelsea’s chances of winning the title. City have missed Sergio Aguero’s presence in the squad, and Fernandinho’s absence has left a big void in the starting eleven.

Eden Hazard has emerged as the form player in the Premier League. The Belgian winger scored a hat-trick against Newcastle, taking his goal tally for the season to 12 goals in 25 matches and he looks hungry for more.

We think that Pellegrini will be proved right about the rich little nag that is Mourinho’s Chelsea – we expect the Blues to reach the finishing line in 1st place as Jose has them peaking in the business end of the season.
