Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Filip Jorgensen – after Robert Sanchez’s rather unconvincing display against City, the Dane will be looking to make a case to be the club’s new No.1.
RB – Malo Gusto – Reece James’ injury means that the Frenchman is expected to start, unless Maresca opts to play youngster Josh Acheampong instead.
CB – Benoit Badiashile – Wesley Fofana and Tosin Adarabioyo are not on the UEFA ‘A list’ so they won’t play against Servette. Axel Disasi has been included but he hasn’t played in pre-season due to a hernia operation. His fellow Frenchman should, therefore, get the nod.
CB – Renato Veiga – the absence of Adarabioyo would indicate that Maresca will play the Portuguese defender as a centre-back on Thursday night.
LB – Marc Cucurella – Maresca has made it clear that Ben Chilwell has no future at the club and, with Veiga expected to play centrally, the Spaniard is set to make his second consecutive start.
