Paul Pogba To Chelsea Blockbuster On The Cards?

It is common knowledge that Roman Abramovich doesn’t mind spending big on players and this summer, reports claim the Chelsea owner will be bringing Juventus French international Paul Pogba to Stamford bridge in a deal that will shock the world if it happens.

According to reports in the Daily Express, Chelsea are ready to swap two of their players to fuel the signing of Paul Pogba this summer. Reports claim new manager Antonio Conte has met with Abramovich and both are in agreement that signing former Man United man Paul Pogba this summer will be key to Chelsea. Valued at about £80 Million, this figure has not stopped Abramovich from wanting to sign the Frenchman but could be mandating Conte to swap Oscar and Willian to make the deal happen.

Oscar has been a little inconsistent in Chelsea colours this season and the fans perhaps won’t mind him being swapped but the fans may not be too happy with swapping Willian who has far and away been Chelsea’s best player so far this season.

Chelsea are expected to make an overhaul of their squad this summer with various reports at different times claiming anyone from the the likes of goalkeeper Courtois, the aforementioned Mikel and Oscar, to Eden Hazard, to Diego Costa, to John Terry and Matic could be leaving the Stamford Bridge this summer. No-one has avoided departure rumours it seems, although it has to be said if they all left there would be no veterans left not to mention a serious talent vacuum so it seems very few will leave it will be more about additions we think.

John Terry has already announced he would be leaving the club this summer after both he and the club failed to agree terms on a new contract for the former English captain but even that is up in the air as it seems that Conte may well want to keep JT in the fold for at least another year. Who can see the original Chelsea man turning down the chance to play another year at the Bridge especially if a certain Paul Pogba has been signed – a mouth-watering prospect!
