Paul Merson Predicts The Scoreline As Chelsea Play Norwich City

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson is expecting a comfortable home win when Chelsea take on Norwich at Stamford Bridge tomorrow afternoon.

The Blues will be without two strikers in Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner but Merson believes that the Premier League leaders will have more than enough to overcome the Canaries:

“What score do you want? This game is a foregone conclusion, in my opinion. Chelsea will be without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, but they’ll still have miles too much for the Premier League’s bottom dwellers Norwich City”

Merson has gone with a 3-0 victory for Chelsea, which seems like a pretty fair prediction. While Norwich have managed to stop the rot with two draws in their last two Premier League games, they don’t really have the ability to keep a clean sheet against the top Premier League sides.

Thomas Tuchel’s side will undoubtedly be hampered by the absence of Lukaku in particular. Even so, the European champions have more than enough firepower in their ranks, as we saw when they beat Malmo 4-0 on Wednesday night.

Of course, it’s probably wise not to get complacent but, as Merson says, this should be a surefire three points if Chelsea turn up and perform as expected.
