BT Sport pundit Michael Owen believes Chelsea will record a narrow win when they face Everton at Stamford Bridge tomorrow evening.
Both teams go into the game with a lot of confidence after recent results and Owen thinks it will be an intriguing contest between two tactically astute managers:
“This should be a great game. Tuchel v Ancelotti is a fascinating battle, and I think it’s bound to be tight. With that in mind, I think Chelsea will just edge it by the slenderest of margins.”
Owen has gone for a 1-0 victory for the Blues, which seems like a sensible prediction based on Tuchel’s side excellent recent defensive record, as well as the fact that they don’t tend to score many either.
With the Toffees having a game in hand and being just one point behind Chelsea in the table, securing the three points tomorrow could be absolutely vital in the race for Champions League places.
Following some good results against the likes of Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool, the momentum is certainly with Tuchels’ team and Owen is justified to think that they should just come out on top in this match.
