Ousmane Dembele ‘offered up’ to Chelsea as make-weight in Hazard deal

Barcelona have offered Ousmane Dembele to Chelsea as a potential make-weight for Eden Hazard, according to reports.

Dembele joined Barca last summer from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of around £135.5m, making him the second most expensive player in history at the time.

The Frenchman was seen as a replacement for Neymar who had joined PSG in a £200 million move earlier in the summer, however things haven’t quite panned out as planned for Dembele at the Camp Nou.

Dembele managed just four goals in an injury plagued season in Spain, and Don Balon now report Barcelona are willing to let him leave after only one season with the club.

The Spanish outlet claim Dembele to Chelsea as part of a deal for Eden Hazard, with manager Ernesto Valverde keen too add the Belgian superstar to his squad ahead of the new season.

Barca however are also understood to have offered Dembele out to a number of other European clubs as potential currency for a number of the continent’s biggest stars.

The France international has also been offered to Manchester United and Spurs for Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen respectively – as well as to PSG and Juventus for both Kylian Mbappe and Miralem Pjanic.
