The 20-year-old will undoubtedly get his chances under the management of Frank Lampard, who took him on loan at Derby County last season.
There are no guarantees that his Championship form will translate to the Premier League but he has shown enough to suggest he will give Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic a run for their money for a place in the starting eleven.
Mount scored 11 goals and contributed six assists in 44 appearances for Derby under Lampard, and the attacking midfielder will want to continue in the same vein during pre-season in order to stake a claim for regular action next campaign.
