Oscar And Hazard Both In Mourinho’s Dog-House

Oscar’s form has drastically tailed off in the second half of the season with Mourinho quite critical of the Brazilian. Eden Hazard has not been let of the hook either, despite winning the PFA young player of the year award. The 23-year-old was certainly guilty of not tracking back for the first of Atletico Madrid’s goals which helped condemn Chelsea to another semi-final exit in the Champions League. Mourinho does not think Hazard is ready to sacrifice himself for the team hence he was left on the bench for the first half against Norwich on the weekend but the boss could not make the point he wanted to by leaving Hazard out altogether as he had to send Hazard on at half time to pose an attacking threat as his strikers were not performing as usual.

Both players have been linked with a move to PSG in recent months and, having already sold Mata, Mourinho will not hesitate in disposing of either of them if he thinks it is the right decision. The Special One has stated that Hazard is not a true team player yet and also criticized Oscar for already thinking about the World Cup.

According to the Telegraph, on the subject of the young Brazilian, Mourinho said, “I think he was our best player for months, from August to November or December. He was absolutely fantastic. And after that he was up and down.

“He arrived in the crucial moment of the season in a down. Injuries, couldn’t train, was trying to arrive to the game but didn’t, was a doubt for the game, the game was too big to play with a doubtful player, so he arrived in the crucial moment of the season in a low. I can imagine, in a couple of weeks, he will be in a high and during the World Cup he will be in a high.”

So it seems Oscar has gone from being the “teachers pet” to being in the dog-house with Hazard where the Belgian has spent quite some time over the course of the season.
