‘On The Radar…’ Report Reveals Chelsea Are Considering Surprise Move For Controversial Striker

Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is “on the radar” of a number of clubs, including Chelsea, Tottenham and Barcelona, according to the Daily Star.

The Serbian international has been in good form this season, having racked up 12 goals in 25 appearances for the Cottagers, but he has got himself in hot water with the footballing authorities.

Mitrovic was red-carded for shoving referee Chris Kavanagh during the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup earlier this month, and he is now expected to be given a lengthy ban.

While the Daily Star report that the controversy has already led to one team cooling their interest in the 28-year-old, they don’t say whether the Blues will take the same stance.

Mitrovic should be available for the start of next season, even if the suspension is a sizeable one, so it shouldn’t affect Chelsea’s transfer plans. Whether the forward would be a priority target, though, is another matter.
