Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is “looking good” to play in this weekend’s Champions League final against Manchester City, according to Thomas Tuchel.
The Frenchman was left out of the matchday squad for the 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday, but he is expected to feature at the Estadio do Dragao Stadium on Saturday evening.
Supporters on Twitter are relieved that Kante is likely to be fit for the season-defining game, with the 30-year-old having been integral to the club’s upturn in form since Tuchel’s arrival at the start of the year:

Kovacic and Kante in the middle hopefully. Jorginho has been poor in the last few games.

Kante’s inclusion in the starting lineup against City will be pivotal to the Blues’ chances of getting a result in Portugal. Tuchel has said that Chelsea are a different team with him in the side, and that was proven once again when the London club lost against Villa at the weekend.
Hopefully, the France international is 100% fit to start, and no risks are being taken in order to get him out on the pitch.
