Chelsea will play Manchester United on the opening day of the season, the Premier League have revealed.
With the managerial situation still up in the air and the transfer ban remaining in place, many would have hoped for an easier first game.
Supporters on Twitter are, therefore, not overly optimistic but there is hope that the Blues can get off to a good start:

With the uncertainty surrounding the club, it is understandable that Chelsea fans would be pessimistic with the first match being at Old Trafford.
If a new manager is in charge for the game, it could be a baptism of fire, but there are also doubts about United heading into the fixture too.
The Red Devils ended last campaign poorly under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and it may be the case that the club’s form carries over into next season.
United are likely to make a number of changes to their squad while, in contrast, Chelsea will have a settled group who should be ready to hit the ground running.
