‘Not Good Enough’ ‘Would Be A Fantastic Signing’ – Chelsea Fans On Twitter Debate £36m Swoop For Milan Midfielder

Chelsea and Tottenham are both interested in AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to reports in Italy.

The Ivorian international is currently on a two-year loan spell at the San Siro from Atalanta but the Rossoneri are obligated to sign the player on a permanent basis for £19.5m in the summer.

However, if Milan don’t qualify for the Champions League, they may be forced into selling the player for a reported £36m to stay within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.

Some fans on Twitter think Kessie doesn’t suit manager Maurizio Sarri’s style of play, with many even rating Tiemoue Bakayoko as a better player:

Others do feel he could be a good addition to the squad:

There are also suggestions that Chelsea could use Bakayoko as a makeweight in a deal for Kessie.

The Frenchman is currently on loan with Milan and although the Serie A side have the option to sign the 24-year-old at the end of the season, FFP concerns make it unlikely that they will take him permanently.
