Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is closing in on a loan move to AC Milan, according to reports in the English media.
The Moroccan international has struggled for game time this season and, whilst away at the World Cup, he was less than forthcoming over whether he would be staying at Stamford Bridge.
Milan are said to be increasingly confident of snapping up Ziyech on a temporary basis, but fans on Twitter are not particularly pleased with the fact it is not a permanent deal:
Not loan again 😭

A loan with “obligation” to buy, not ” option “.

They should stop this loan thing and sell off these finished players

It’s likely that any loan will have an option to buy included if manager Graham Potter doesn’t see the player having a future at the club.
Even so, after spending €40m on Ziyech two and a half years ago, it would be disappointing if the Blues were unable to raise a decent fee from offloading him. The 29-year-old is undoubtedly a very talented player, but his lack of pace meant he was ill-suited to the rigours of the Premier League. He will probably thrive in Italy.
