Frank Lampard will be desperate to get his first win under his belt as Chelsea manager this weekend. After a bright start against Leicester on Sunday, the Foxes’ comeback in the second half showed there is a lot more to do to get the Blues up to scratch.
Saturday’s opponents Norwich are a dangerous team to face, especially at Carrow Road, and Lampard will be keen to ensure that his defence marks danger man Teemu Pukki very closely.
The Finnish international has four goals in two appearances for the Canaries this season after scoring a hat-trick in the win against Newcastle last week.
Norwich will try to attack Chelsea, and the away side will be hoping that it plays into their hands with a number of counter-attacking opportunities expected.
Lampard has no new injury concerns heading into the game and could welcome back Antonio Rudiger to the squad after the German played the full 90 minutes for the Under 23s on Monday.
Norwich, however, do have a number of players on the sidelines including experienced defenders Christoph Zimmermann (knee) and Timo Klose (groin) so the Blues could take advantage of a weakened side.
The bookmakers have made Chelsea the favourites with Coral making them 4/5 odds-on to win. A draw is 3/1 at Unibet while a victory for Norwich is 10/3 at William Hill.
