Mourinho To Give Fabregas Confidence Boost

Mourinho looks very happy with his latest transfer which saw former Arsenal captain, join city rivals, Chelsea. According to the Daily Star, the Portuguese boss chose Fabregas because of his vast Premier League experience and his winning mentality. At 27, the Spaniard will have to work hard to earn the admiration of the fans just as Ashley Cole did when moving to Stamford Bridge. Hopefully for him, his World Cup performance will not affect his morale who was already a bit shot after his time spent in Barcelona.

After 8 years at the Emirates and after three years playing for a club which won everything there is to win, Fabregas told the press he still has unfinished business in the Premier League hinting towards the fact that he has never won the domestic competition.

Mourinho will depend on Fabregas’ desire to win the Premier League and also the Champions League which are missing from the Spaniard’s trophy case in London. Chelsea’s boss insisted that the 27 year old midfielder is not only a great player but also a great person. He pointed out that Fabregas’s personality is Chelsea’s biggest gain after this transfer and that his experience is something every manager would want to have at their disposal.

He also suggested that the Spaniard will become a team regular right from the beginning of next season considering his ability to quickly integrate with the group. Fabregas will probably fight Oscar, Matic and Ramires for a spot in the starting line-up.
