Mourinho To Force Spanish Exodus?

Mourinho To Force Spanish Exodus?

Jose Mourinho has returned to Stamford Bridge after a “brief” trip across Europe which included stays at Inter Milan and Real Madrid. Now that he is back to the place which he loves and where is loved, the odds of Chelsea rising to the very top once again have improved drastically. The Blues are tipped to start a new revolution, similar to the way they did back in 2004 when Mourinho first took over the London club.

Now that he is back, the media are speculating as to what his first move as Chelsea boss will be, and now Metro report that club owner Roman Abramovich has told Mourinho that he will first have to earn some money from transfers before reinvesting in the squad. That would mean selling off the likes of Fernando Torres and even possibly Juan Mata in the coming weeks.

Even though Torres has just had his best season statistically in a Chelsea shirt, reports state that Mourinho will be offloading the £50 million man and make money for Brazilian international Hulk, who is currently playing at Russian club Zenit St Petesburg and is thought to have a fan in the form of Mourinho. Manchester City’s third choice striker Edin Dzeko too has been linked with a move to Chelsea after growing frustrated at his lack of chances in the starting 11 at the Etihad Stadium.

Another name being touted to be forced to quit Chelsea surprisingly is Juan Mata. The Spaniard has easily fit into the team since his move from Valencia. He has been voted as Chelsea’s player of the year in both the years since he has been at the club.

Mata has gradually grown to become Chelsea’s pivotal source of attack as he has dictated play with relative aplomb this season. Therefore, the possibility of him being forced to quit the club is a bit farfetched.

Do you see these two leaving the club over the summer? Or will Mourinho have a change of heart and decide to work with the duo?
