Mourinho Suggests How Wenger Can Help Deal With Ozil’s Poor Form

Ozil’s former manager, Jose Mourinho recently pointed out that the German midfielder needs special treatment in order to be able to express himself on the pitch. Chelsea’s boss who was the one who purchased the 25 year old from Werder, believes, according to the Daily Mail, that Wenger should put some extra care in his relationship with Ozil who is apparently very sensitive. Despite playing under a lot of pressure while at Real Madrid, the German has had a tough time dealing with his move to North London. After a few not so great games, he seems to have lost his confidence which according to Mourinho, can only be recovered with Wenger’s help.

Ozil was a different person in both of Germany’s matches against Portugal and Ghana. It seems that the problem with the 25 year old is the fact that Arsenal expects too much of him. While at Real, there were many names which got more attention than him which probably allowed him to feel more relaxed just as he does in Brazil. Playing for the Gunners is not easy though as Arsenal fans saw in Ozil a savior who was expected to guarantee the winning trophies after a decade long trophy drought. Being the most expensive player in the club’s history really got to the German international who after missing a penalty in the Champions League clash against Bayern, was harshly criticized.
