Mourinho Snubs Rumors That Hazard Is Unhappy In The Premier League

Despite being one of the best players in the Premier League, it seems that Hazard could do better elsewhere. Rumors have it that the Belgian is unhappy with the physical nature of English football and would like to try a different competition similar to La Liga. The 23 year old who came to Stamford Bridge back in 2012 is closing in on the deadline for a contract extension which spawned all the news about his possible refusal to continue with the Blues. According to Sky Sports Mourinho is confident that the Belgian international will continue playing for Chelsea and that the Premier League playing style is not a problem.

Hazard is a key member of the team and losing him would be difficult to handle. Despite having a lot of options, none of the players who can substitute for the 23 year old, have his talent or skill. Often seen as the next in line to dethrone Ronaldo and Messi, Hazard is probably the player that dictates the way the attacking line is built. Last season he was played out of position and still managed to be the top scorer of the team and also the best man Chelsea had throughout the year.

Maybe it is not the fact that the Premier League is too rough. Maybe it is the fact that Hazard is seen by his adversaries as the most dangerous player on the pitch and just as Messi and Ronaldo, he his targeted more often than usual. Being the best comes with both perks and downsides, things to which Hazard should get used to regardless of the country he will be playing in.
