Mourinho Set To Receive His First Award Since Returning To The Premier League

Mourinho has delivered some impressive numbers since coming to London in 2004. The Portuguese boss has a 70% winning ratio managing to lose only 13 games while performing in the Premier League competition. After starting off a bit slow this season, the Blues seem to have found their pace. Their consistency which is one of Mourinho’s trademark strategies when it comes to winning trophies, is what has helped Chelsea make their way to the top. Before kicking off against Villa, they are now 7 points ahead of Arsenal who could not keep up with the Stamford Bridge side despite having their best season in years.

According to TEAMtalk, Mourinho’s excellent managerial skills has not gone unnoticed. After winning the Manager of the Year award two times in a row in 2005 and 2006 and after being named Manager of the Month three times in his previous mandate, the Special One is set to continue impressing the Premier League audience.

It seems that Chelsea’s manager is leading the race for the Manager of the Month prize which will be awarded on Friday at 10:00 AM. Although competition is tough, Mourinho looks to have the best chance, after an amazing couple of weeks.  The Blues are undefeated in their last 14 Premier League matches and have a good advantage over all three of their main adversaries.

Brendan Rodgers is the only one who might steal this prize from Mourinho. Liverpool’s impressive 5-1 win against rivals Arsenal could rob Chelsea’s manager of his trophy. West Ham’s Kevin Nolan and Hull’s Steve Bruce are also nominated but have few chances of becoming February’s Manager of the Month.
