Mourinho Lets The Team Do The Talking

Good match for Chelsea against Aston Villa who did not put up too big of a fight though. It was a good moment for the Blues to play against the Villans who allowed Chelsea to take their time and think about what they need to do to improve for the games to come. Willian was the man of the match and proved once more that he is probably the most reliable player Mourinho has right now. This result will definitely take some of the pressure off of the Portuguese boss who has been under constant fire since the first few weeks of the season. The result also shows that the team is actually staying true to their recent interviews where they insisted the whole group is 100% behind the Special One.

Two other things worth mentioning after this win against Villa. First, it’s the importance Costa has in terms of attacking power. He Scored the first goal and contributed quite a lot to Hutton’s own goal. Not having this Brazilian born Spanish international on the pitch apparently makes a huge difference to the outcome of games. Hopefully he will keep his cool and adapt a bit more to the Premier League because he is needed on the field and needs to avoid suspensions. Not many have seen that he was very close to getting involved into another controversial situation after pushing one of Villa’s defender with his foot while looking like nothing was happening. The second thing that needs to be mentioned is that Hazard came on late in the game as a substitute and did not do much. His form is really worrying and something needs to be done. Regardless, the most important thing to stay with after this game is that Chelsea looked a bit more focused, more determined and won the game despite the shaky start.
