Mourinho Confesses His Love For Chelsea

The Portugese manager sealed his dream switch back to Stamford Bridge after six years, much to the happiness of himself and for everyone involved at and connected with Chelsea. A lot was being written and said about his possible return while he was still at Real Madrid, and the self-proclaimed Special One expressed his delight at finally returning to the club he so dearly loves.

He has reunited with the team with whom he reached the very summit of world football and achieved huge glory the first time he took charge back in 2004. Mourinho now wishes to emulate and recreate that success this time around too and with the squad he currently possesses, his task might not look all that difficult.

As Chelsea ready themselves to welcome Hull City in their season opener on Sunday, Mourinho was asked about his feelings of making a return to Chelsea and he replied saying that it means much more than returning to any of his other previous clubs he has managed. He was quoted by ESPNFC as saying, “My career is very rich,”

“I have won lots of things in different places. Every competition I wanted to win, I did it, so I don’t feel that pressure that a manager without a big CV would feel.

“The only pressure I feel is the pressure of fighting for my own club, because being the manager of Chelsea means more than being the manager of any other club.

“Not because of what I did, not because of the pressure to succeed again, but because I always want Chelsea to win — even in the last five years with 10 different managers. Now I’m here, I can do something I couldn’t do for the last five years: help Chelsea win. That’s the only pressure I feel.”

It is absolutely evident that Mourinho is genuinely happy from within to come back to Chelsea; therefore all the fans are assured of having a manager who is really content and keen to work for the club’s success. Now will the love for the club turn into success at the end of the year, is another thing altogether.
