Mourinho Certain United Are Out Of The Title Race

Mourinho seemed fairly certain that United is no longer a title contender after losing 3-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. David Moyes will not be able to defend Sir Alex Ferguson’s last title which is now being contested only by Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

According to Yahoo! EuroSport, Eto’o’s hat-trick put an end to any hope United fans might have had when it comes to winning the Premier League trophy.

Chelsea’s manager is sure the 16 games left until the end of the season will not be enough for Man United to cause any actual trouble for those who are now on top. Hopefully though, Moyes will be able to motivate his players into doing their best against the Blues’ fellow title contenders who have yet to face the Red Devils and in so doing help Chelsea.

Mourinho is determined to win points rather than to think about records after he was reminded he reached his 71st home game unbeaten and his 100th Premier League win. The Portuguese insisted he is not in it for the glory and that it is all about creating a legacy this time. He also said his team has a lot of room to improve especially when it comes to scoring goals.
