Mourinho And Costa Certain They Will Work Together Next Season

Mourinho looks just as confident as Costa that the future of the Spanish international is with Chelsea. After rumors have been linking the La Liga winner to the Blues even since last summer, it seems that things are finally going to happen. According to talkSPORT, Chelsea’s Portuguese boss recently admitted he is keen on bringing Costa to West London as soon as possible. The 25 year old striker is now waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement concerning the transfer fee.

Even though nothing official has come out, it seems that the transfer will take place after Costa returns from Brazil. Despite his poor performances against the Netherlands and Chile, he is still one of the most in-demand strikers in the world.

What is even more interesting is the fact that Costa could play alongside Torres with Chelsea even though they have been in competition for a spot in the Spanish national team at the World Cup with Torres replacing Costa in both Spain’s games vs the Netherlands and Chile, which suggests Costa is carrying an injury.

Diego Costa is currently valued at £31million which is less than Chelsea paid for Fabregas. It is very unlikely that Abramovich will refuse to pay that amount for a player who is infinitely more important for Chelsea than Fabregas could be at this particular moment in time.
