Monchi’s Ultimatum Revealed As Chelsea Now Become Favourites To Seal Deal For 46.8M La Liga Star

Sevilla sporting director Monchi has “explained” to Jules Kounde that if Barcelona don’t make a “firm” offer for him soon, the Spanish club will do “everything” to send him to Chelsea, according to Footmercato.net.

It is believed that the defender would prefer a move to the Camp Nou, but Barca are dragging their heels in negotiations, which has made Sevilla very impatient.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have already tabled a bid in the region of €55m (£46.8m) which could be enough to finalise a deal if Kounde is open to making the switch to Stamford Bridge.

Footmercato claim that the centre-back isn’t against joining the Blues, in fact, it is his “plan B” if a bid from Barcelona doesn’t arrive.

There have been some suggestions that the La Liga club may now be in a position to pursue Kounde, after getting a deal for Robert Lewandowski over the line, but we shall see if they do actually table a formal proposal.
