Milan Consider Sending Bakayoko Back To Chelsea After Six Months

AC Milan are considering ending Tiemoue Bakayoko’s loan spell at the San Siro early, according to reports in Italy.

After struggling during his first year with Chelsea, the Blues allowed the Frenchman to move to the Rossoneri in the summer on an initial season-long loan.

The Serie A side have reportedly paid a €5m loan fee, with another €35m to make it permanent at the end of the season.

However, Bakayoko has hardly featured under manager Gennaro Gattuso since the start of the campaign. The Rossoneri boss has openly admitted that the midfielder has struggled to adapt tactically to Italian football, leading to him being left out of the starting line up.

He has played the full 90 minutes in both of Milan’s Europa League fixtures but hasn’t started any of their eight league games. It now appears that the Italian club will cut their losses and send the player back to Stamford Bridge without making the deal permanent.
