Mike McGrath Names The THREE Forwards (Worth A Combined 178M) That Chelsea Would Like To Sign

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is only a “stop-gap solution” for Chelsea, according to the Daily Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath.

The reliable reporter claims the Blues are already making plans to strengthen their forward line next summer, when some of their key “long-term targets” could become available:

RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku is expected to be near the top of their list of priorities, with the Frenchman’s €60m (£51m) release clause becoming active next summer. However, there could be fierce competition for the player’s signature.

Another forward who is very much on the club’s radar is AC Milan’s Rafael Leao. The Portuguese international was linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge earlier this year, but his club are not currently open to selling him. He has a reported €150m (£127m) release clause, although Chelsea will be looking to agree a deal for well below that figure.

A move for Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic could also be on the agenda if the Austrian does become available on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
