Michael Owen Predicts The Scoreline As Chelsea Take On Palace

BT Sport pundit Michael Owen is backing Chelsea to get back on track in the Premier League with a comfortable victory against Crystal Palace tomorrow.

The former England international says their win against Porto midweek has convinced him that their surprise home defeat to West Brom was merely a blip, and he can see the Blues putting in a good performance at Selhurst Park:

“After watching them again midweek in Europe, I do believe that may just have been a freak result. If Chelsea remain as disciplined as they have been overall under Tuchel, I think they’ll win this by a couple of goals.”

Owen has gone with a 2-0 win for Chelsea, which seems a fair prediction, especially considering Palace have only won once at home since January. Saying that, though, that victory came against West Brom, while they held Manchester United to a goalless draw last month.

The first goal will be crucial. If Thomas Tuchel‘s side do break the deadlock early on, it should be a pretty straightforward affair, as Owen predicts, but if it remains 0-0 heading into the second half, this could turn into a more nervy game. We shall have to wait and see how it plays out.
