BT Sport pundit Michael Owen is expecting Chelsea to come out on top when they face Aston Villa as Stamford Bridge this evening.

The former Liverpool and Manchester United striker says manager Thomas Tuchel has got his team extremely well organised and he thinks the Blues will have too much for their opponents:

“It’s hard to see them not winning here, Lukaku seems to be the final piece of the jigsaw, giving them a machine-like presence on the pitch. Villa will need to be ruthless on the counter and play a perfect game defensively if they are to get anything. Honestly, I think a result’s just out of their reach here, so it’s a home win for me.”

Owen is predicting a 3-1 win for Chelsea, which seems a pretty decent result, considering Villa do possess a number of threatening attacking players such as Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins.

With the Blues having shown how strong they are defensively already this season, you would back them to keep the away side at bay, whilst producing a number of chances at the other end of the pitch.

Getting back into rhythm after an international break can be a challenge but you’d have to think that Tuchel’s men will have enough to secure the three points at home.
