Messi To Chelsea Rumors Continue

Well most people cannot imagine superstar Lionel Messi actually leaving Barcelona but the rumors of his potential departure are continuing to be reported. Supposedly the Argentinian goal-machine is becoming unhappy with his situation at the Catalan giants and is considering a move.

Who knows if this is simply posturing by Messi to try to get an improved contract or if he wants to force some kind of a change in philosophy at the Nou Camp but the reports of him being unsettled have seemingly gained traction over the past 10 days or so. If you couple this with the fact that Roman Abramovich is a genuine admirer of the extraordinary talent that is Lionel Messi (why wouldn’t he be?) and the fact that the Russsian oligarch is more often than not successful in bringing his targets to West London then you have a story which seems like it may have legs.

Check out the clip below where they discuss the odds from William Hill on Messi joining Chelsea either in the January window or the summer window. The player has 3 years left on his €20 million a year contract with a €250 million buyout clause so it would take a super-big club like Real Madrid, Man United, Man City or obviously the Blues to even contemplate this deal. In the clip we hear from his national team mate Sergio Aguero on the chances of Messi coming to England but it seems like a tall order as Aguero rightly says.
